What's this site about?
In an America still bleeding from the work of terrorists, the threats to our liberty are coming harder and faster than ever before. The spectre of further attacks, possibly with weapons of mass destruction, is used to terrify the populace into submitting without complaint to ever greater invasions of privacy. Our government grows larger than ever in the care of politicians who ran on the "small government" platform. American citizens who are racial minorities are registered and in some cases imprisoned on secret evidence.
It's a new century, and a new kind of politics; it's going to require a new kind of activist. The old party labels aren't worth anything anymore. The only differentiator is the color of the propaganda. An army of federal beaurocrats believes that we have forgotten that our government is a government by, of, and for the people; they think we will settle back and let them run things if they make the proper noises. It's time we stood up and said enough; it's time we took back our government. And triggerfinger.org is about how we can do that.
The founder of triggerfinger.org is a Libertarian, but encourages anyone who cares about liberty to participate.
Why "triggerfinger"?
Because we intend to provide targeting information for your political activism. Legislation that needs to be shot down, legislators that need to be lobbied on certain issues... anything else that threatens our Constitutional rights and tradition of liberty will be targeted for corrective action. But it is up to you to pull the trigger -- by contacting your legislators and exercising your 1st Amendment rights.
So what do you do?
We're a news forum, source for activism information on liberty issues, and
general political pundits. Right now the most active area of the site is our
weblog, which details threats to our freedom as
soon as they appear, along with opportunities to fight back, and of course the
occasional bitter polemic reasoned expression of opinion.

The site owner and operator is a computer programmer by day, living in Austin, Texas. He's written all the software that powers the site, which is hosted on a computer in his home. Politics, firearms, and especially the politics of firearms are merely one of many hobbies; others include speculative fiction, open-source programming (including Linux), martial arts, and sword collecting.
