Trump fires ICIG Atkinson

Trump has fired ICIG Atkinson. This should not come as a surprise; Atkinson was involved in the impeachment attempt that followed from a so-called whistleblower complaint he allowed, despite that complaint being invalid under the rules and factually incorrect on top of that. And, of course, before he became ICIG Atkinson was working for DOJ and coordinating with the people investigating Trump in the Russia Hoax.

Word Choice

American Greatness“I’m so grateful not only that she’s my role model, but that she’s my mom,” Chelsea told Jane Pauley on CBS Sunday Morning. “My kids are going to grow up in a world, I believe, that’s immeasurably better because of her gutsiness.”

"Immeasurably" is a good word choice. Hillary Clinton's presence has improved the world in ways that cannot be measured. It's hard to measure things that don't exist, or are vanishingly small.

Did Ilhan Omar marry her brother?

The Daily Mail has found a source from all the way across the Atlantic. Funny how no US media could find one.

SCOTUS will review New York gun law

New York's laws forbid carry except to a very limited number of places without a (much harder to get) carry permit. There's a case challenging those laws before the Supreme Court this term. New York got the jitters and tried to moot the case. Supreme Court says no, they will hear the case. This seems likely to result in a win for us, increasing Constitutional scrutiny of carry restrictions by the states.

Another readily-available treatment for the Chinese virus

Ivermectin seems to work in the lab. It is already FDA approved and cheap. If this pans out, along with the promising chloroquine, then we should be able to stop panicking and get back to normal soon.

What's it like to be targeted by the Deep State?

40 hours of hell and threats to charge her with lying... while not allowing her to access her own notes and messages to refresh her recollection about them.

Read the whole thing.

Looking into Crowdstrike

American GreatnessSo, to summarize, at the same time Perkins Coie hired Fusion GPS to dig up Russia-related dirt on Donald Trump, it hired CrowdStrike to investigate the hack of the DNC email systems. CrowdStrike, also at the same time, was working with the Obama Justice Department as the agency began investigating Trump campaign aides for suspected “collusion” with the Kremlin.

If you haven't been following why, exactly, Trump and Barr investigating Crowdstrike is such a big deal, this is a good way to catch up. And if that describes you, ask yourself whether the media sources you trust to keep you informed have actually been doing that.

DOJ admits to two invalid FISAs

They are the latter two of those targeting Carter Page and (by extension) the Trump campaign. One of those was applied for by the Mueller Special Counsel. It's likely the cause of this admission is the Kevin Clinesmith faked emails.

The first two FISAs on Carter Page are still being looked into.

This should, logically, mean everything they found based on that information is fruit of the poisoned tree and inadmissible. But it's not clear they found anything from that warrant that was useful in criminal court. It was political intelligence they were after. If Mueller used it even just to generate leads to look into things (like the Cohen situation), that could rapidly run into problems. But we just don't know what role -- including an intermediate role without being directly submitted to a court -- the information collected from those wiretaps played in later prosecutions. DOJ will be looking into that.

There's potentially a lot of fallout here since it imperils the entire existence of the Mueller special counsel investigation, if that was predicated on anything found in the wiretaps.

Stefan Halper's handler was feeding info to Washington Post

Remember how the FBI "fired" Steele for talking to reporters, before using Bruce Ohr as a cutout to involve him again? Turns out, FBI informant and possible CIA operative Stefan Halper was also feeding information to reporters .
